In 1935 the German physicist Erwin Schrödinger conducted a thought
experiment that served to explain the nature of the observations and
predictions of quantum mechanics. The experiment is known as the paradox of Schrödinger or Schrödinger's cat experiment . To carry out and prove his theory Schrödinger needed a closed box with a cat live inside a bottle of poison gas, a radioactive particle with a 50% chance to break in an hour.
If the particle delivers radiation opens the bottle is broken and the cat dies. The fact is that while we do not open the box we will not know if the cat is alive or dead. We can only speculate because it is a matter of probabilities.
When we decide to open the case, the mere act of observing changes the
state of the ensemble, with which we can see if the cat lives or dies. Until the intervention of the spectator the cat remains in limbo in which it is alive and dead at once.
Although it is probable that the most famous reference Telefile is that of The Big Bang Theory, The Tangerine Factor in Sheldon tells Penny the experiment in question to illustrate his date with Leonard. In The Russian Rocket Reaction chapter that was issued October 13 this year, his friendship with Sheldon Leonard defined as "friendship Schrödinger" as it is at the same time his friend and his mortal enemy and Leonard will be attending a party Will Wheaton's house.
