Dayana Saucedo generated controversy in Bolivia
Following the announcement that transsexuals may also participate in the Miss Universe , Dayana Saucedo, a transsexual from Bolivia announced that he/she wants to be part of the event which will make his/her country.
'Of course I want to compete, to become Miss Santa Cruz, Miss Bolivia and go to Miss Universe. I have the same right to the other girls to represent my country ', told to the daily El Deber of Santa Cruz' the famous transsexual.
Thus, Saucedo asked the Bolivian company 'Gloria Promociones', which owns the franchise, to accept the participation of transsexuals in the beauty contest. 'They must accept, because we are a reality and exist, "he/she added.
