Ashton Kutcher is accused of racist for Potato chips Ad
Actor Ashton Kutcher is involved in the commercial for a brand of potato chips, but their interpretations have not been like by some people, including hip-hop group Das Racist. The actor disguises himself as various characters, but the most affected has been the Indian community.
A spokesperson for the brand said the appointment parody 'Popchips' has created a few laughs, but there was no attempt to talk about stereotypes or offend someone.
The video introduces Raj (Ashton Kutcher), a Bollywood producer looking for love and says he wants to find the 'most delicious in the world', the man is dressed much like a cheap Bollywood actor ,speaks with exaggerated accent and dance Bollywood style. Hundreds of Twitter users claimed that the stereotype seems just silly and that the business is not related to potatoes.
