Ya saben que hay cientos, quizá miles de accesorios relacionados con Star Wars. Hoy les traemos otra más, una memoria USB en las que Mimobot es un habitual (The Force Unleashed II, SnowTrooper y Yoda o Luke y Han Solo), aunque otros existen.

La memoria USB R2-D2 es perfecta por varias razones. Primero, porque la capacidad es bastante aceptable (modelos de entre 4 y 16 GB), conectándose mediante USB 2.0 con el conector escondido tras la cabeza del robot. Y segundo, porque tiene muchos pequeños detalles grabados en la propia memoria y en su cuerpo.

Un interesante detalle, como siempre, para los aficionados a la conocida saga de películas. No supondrá un gran desembolso, pues la verdad es que son bastante asequibles: entre 12 y 24 euros.

MUG Jarra de R2D2 Star Wars de Coleccion hemos enseñado tantos y tantos cacharros de R2-D2 en el blog, y ahora también en la tienda, que si alguien los tuviera todos probablemente hablaría con pitidos y se movería torpemente. Sin embargo, y ya que hemos visto que gusta bastante, como no podría ser de otra manera, hoy os traemos otro más: la jarra R2-D2.

Supongo que no hace falta ni decirlo, pero yo lo aclaro por si acaso: no hace ruido, no se mueve, no abre puertas y no es tu mejor amigo, simplemente es una jarra, desde mi punto de vista de cerveza, pero oye, que cada uno la llene de lo que quiera.

Aquí está una de esas ediciones especiales que me encantan: Xbox 360 Star Wars, que no sólo es una carcasa pintada si no mucho más: es la consola, el mando y Kinect todo en edición especial, con carcasas exclusivas y en un mismo pack de buen precio.

La Xbox 360 está dedicada a R2-D2, con sus azules y blancos tan llamativos. Por su parte, el mando es completamente dorado y está dedicado a C-3PO, el divertido robot humanoide que acompaña al grupo en las aventuras. A todo esto le acompaña el sensor Kinect, que para esta edición cambia el negro por un blanco a juego con la propia consola. Ideal, perfecto, ¿no?

Así que posiblemente seréis como yo, que quiere una. Fecha de lanzamiento en navidades por un precio que rondará los 400 euros el pack completo (consola, mando y Kinect), aunque en España no ha sido confirmado aún. Ojala llegue, yo ya estoy contando los días que faltan…

Cada edición limitada que lanza Moleskine se convierte automáticamente en un exitazo y si no andas un poco vivo es muy probable que te quedes con las ganas. A mí ya me ha pasado en más de una ocasión.

Pues no te digo nada lo que va a ocurrir con la edición especial que ha preparado para este 2011 basada en Star Wars, con la cantidad de seguidores de la saga de George Lucas que hay repartidos por todo el planeta.

Se trata de dos modelos en uno podemos leer You Underestimate The Power Of The Darkside, en el otro In a Galaxy Far Far Away como si anunciara el inicio de todo. Ambas están disponibles en dos tamaños y ya están a la venta en su web oficial por unos 14 y 10 euros. Luego no me digas que no te he avisado.

Por fin les encontramos un uso a las enormes pantallas táctiles! Arthur Nishimoto, estudiante de la Universidad de Illinois, ha creado este juego – no oficial – de Star Wars, llamado Fleet Commander, haciendo uso de una enorme pantalla táctil.

El juego nos pone al mando de la flota del Rebel Alliance, o del Imperio y, como podrán ver, podemos jugarlo en multiplayer. Lamentablemente, es un juego que nunca verá la luz – se trataba de un proyecto universitario.

Según su website:

Desarrollado en el Electronic Visualization Laboratory (EVL), Fleet Commander explora cómo un juego interactivo de estrategia en tiempo real que típicamente dependería de comandos de teclado complejos e interacción con el mouse puede ser transferido a un ambiente muli-usuario, multi-táctil. Originalmente diseñado para ser utilizado con un TacTile, un LCD de 52 pulgadas multitouch, “Fleet Commander” ha sido también porteado a la pared multitáctil de EVL de 20 pies, Cyber-Commons. El juego utiliza Processing, un lenguaje de programación open source.

Dos clásicos que marcaron una época se unen en un solo producto. Estoy hablando de Star Wars y del divertido juego Operación que ahora han dado forma a una nueva versión de este último, al Star Wars Operation [R2-D2 Edition].

Así, el paciente que se entrega a los jugadores convertidos en cirujanos es, nada más y nada menos, que R2D2 quien lamentablemente sufre una serie de enfermedades mecánicas que deberán ser solucionadas gracias a la hábil mano del médico al que le toque el turno.
