El caso es que hoy nos toca hablar de un dispositivo que no deberíamos desmerecer. Nos referimos al iPad 3, la tercera generación de la tableta de Apple. Y es que según los analistas, el nuevo tablet no saldrá este año, sino que se dará a conocer en 2012. La información parece más o menos lógica. Hace apenas unos meses que la de Cupertino se estrenó con el iPad 2. Lo que aquí llama la atención es la opinión de Mark Moskowitz, analista de JP Morgan.

Y es que según este experto, Apple dispone de las mejores tecnologías para fabricar tablets. El analista ha dicho que los otros fabricantes no están a la altura, de manera que la de Cupertino no tiene porque gastar todos sus cartuchos este año 2011. 

La cosa está en que la tableta no es un proyecto lejano. Nada más lejos de la realidad. Según Moskowitz, los socios y personal más allegado a la compañía Apple ya tiene en sus manos una unidad del que será el iPad 3. De esta manera, y a falta de hacer algunos retoques finales (o definitivos), la tableta parece preparada para ser comercializada. 

Y es que a estas alturas no son muchos los fabricantes que han lanzado al mercado dispositivos realmente competentes. Uno de los más aplaudidos es Samsung con su Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, la segunda generación de su tableta más equipada.

De esta manera, y contradiciendo lo que se había rumoreado hasta el momento, el iPad 3 saldrá aproximadamente en marzo de 2012, que es cuando la compañía Apple suele deleitarnos con sus lanzamientos. De hecho, es precisamente entonces cuando se prevé que se produzca la mediática presentación. Será entonces cuando conozcamos un terminal que podría contar con algunas características que ya tenemos apuntadas en el listado de rumores. 

Nos referimos a la pantalla AMOLED con una resolución superior a la habitual y con una calidad que podría estar cercana a la calidad Retina del iPhone 4. Se espera que pueda aparecer en tres versiones distintas.

Se entiende una de 16, 32 y 64 GB, aunque habría que ver si Apple sigue apostando por la versión con más capacidad o decide aprovechar las ventajas de iCloud y el almacenamiento en la nube. Se espera que también salgan al mercado modelos equipados con conexión 3G o Wi-Fi, a elegir entre los colores más básicos: el blanco y el negro. A su vez, se espera que el tablet pueda llegar equipado con una memoria RAM de 2 GB, e incluso que incorpore un potente procesador de cuatro núcleos.
