New York (AP). The actor who plays Elmo on Sesame Street had to get away for a while the TV show, after allegations that arise had an affair with a 16 years.

"We take very seriously the charge and act immediately," Sesame Workshop said in a statement. "We met with the accuser twice and we communicate with him repeatedly. We met with Kevin, who denied the allegations."

But he added that Clash did show "poor judgment" and was disciplined for violating company policy regarding Internet use, although no details.
